Yes the Salem news has been handed over to Karen Adreas this will be the final death nell for the Salem News as her leadership has already put them on par with papers like the Star and Tass. This conservative rag will finally be on the way out within a few years.

Yes the Salem News has trashed Beverly yet again. A truck carrying their hopefully recycled paper has dumped trash all over Brimbal Ave. area and has been left for City or State to pickup.
Yes Paul Leighton has trashed candidate Tom Crean for the corruption team of Bill Scanlon. Salem News should report on real news instead of doing Scanlon's dirty work for him yet again. Remember the BS they put out about Pat Lucci!!!!

In the recent story about Mayor Crean and the Ethics commission the News left out the key parts of the story told to them by Crean. That the commission took into consideration that Scanlon lied during a deposition on both cases against Crean. In depo he said he knew nothing about the cases against Crean, in Freedom of Information Act request the first meeting back for Scanlon that is all that he talked about durin Executive Session. Also, an IT employee received a golf cart for $50.00 and it never went out to bid or was it declared surplus under Scanlon. When will the News stop covering for this crooked Mayor????? News should also investigate hillgate in
Beverly, how friends of Scanlon screwed the City for $800,000.00

Looks like if Scanlon team cannot win with one Judge they wait for the one they need. In the Recent Crean case the first judge was for Crean all the way, enter corruption from contacts at Salem Superior and change happens and Scanlon wins. Crean should get credit towards his vacation for the many donations he personally made to the City on excess of the vacation and computer debt.

PS Salem News still plays the bad picture game when they want to burn someone. Times for a new paper?

While Scanlon Administration goes after Crean for $4000.00 over $8 million is owed in back taxes to the City. Enough to make renovations on High School? Enough to have kept open Memorial? Enough to keep over 100 positions in the School dept.? Why isn't his crack legal team going after this debt? Are they friends of Bill? So much for the Education Mayor!

So while the little guy taxpayer pays his taxes these people keep tucking it to them with no apparent concern from this Administration.
